25 years after the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) was founded as the responsible authority for the registrations of the EU Trademarks and Industrial Designs, the 2 millionth EU trade mark application marks an important milestone.
With 152,488 applications in 2018 alone, the EU trade mark has become an important support to the Internal Market, and a vital tool for both EU and international enterprises doing business in the EU-28.
